We had a great day with 7 iUrban teen families and 5 families with Helping Hands and the Forestry Service personnel from Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Our group met in Vancouver and traveled to a ranger station in Carson WA. Once we arrived, each family was guided by a forestry service ranger or staff to search for the perfect Christmas tree to cut down and take home. Once the trees were selected and loaded the families were treated to a bonfire with smores!! Afterwards families headed back to ranger station for lunch and discussion about the forestry service. A great start to the holidays!!
