Cinematique 2019 hosted by Essex Community Outreach in collaboration with, and their family members from, Treehouse, Rainier Athletes, YMCA of Greater Seattle, Casey Family Programs, King County Kinship Collaboration, Girl Scouts of Western Washington at Mary’s Place and Amara. Was a hit again this year, iUrban Teen has participated in this annual for four years and each year it gets bigger and bigger, there were 450 foster care families who registered for the event. The event supports educational opportunities for foster and underserved youth and growing the pipeline of prospective foster parents.
The Cosplay actors joined us who enhanced the Star Wars theme at the event and the special visit by Santa Claus. The Seattle Mariners donated Mariner backpacks, t-shirts, socks, and towels. We gave away Kindle Fire Tablets every 30 minutes to the families – that was definitely a big hit. We’re looking forward to participating in December 2020.
