Students will gain practical experience in acoustically testing microphone capsules and electrically testing electronic components (JFETS) to ensure their optimal performance in a circuit. The workshop will also guide students through building and soldering a small circuit board using the tested components. Additionally\, students will be introduced to machine shop metalworking\, providing a comprehensive overview of the skills involved in crafting high-quality microphones for home recording or live performance. SUMMARY:Recology Educational Tour
DESCRIPTION:Ready for an immersive Recology tour to understand where your recyclable materials go and how they are processed in Seattle. \nWe are pleased to invite school and community groups from areas served by Recology King County to visit our recycling center to learn how paper\, plastics\, and more are sorted and recycled. This free two-hour experience at our state-of-the-art facility in South Seattle will help participants understand the recycling system and how their actions affect the process. \nIndividuals sixteen years of age or older are invited to tour the sorting line\, where they will hear\, see\, and smell materials as they travel through a series of conveyor belts and high-tech machines. Groups with younger children may visit the facility to experience the recycling center from a bird’s eye view in the safety of our education room.
