SUMMARY:iMusic Tier 2- Production Lab
DESCRIPTION:Ready to bring your music to life? \niMusic Production Lab builds on the skills learned in the Tier 1Creative Launchpad program and takes students deeper into the world of music production\, recording\, and audio engineering. In this hands-on intermediate course\, students learn how to record live vocals and instruments\, create and manipulate samples\, and use advanced mixing and mastering techniques to transform their ideas into professional-quality songs. \nStudents will strengthen their skills in Ableton Live\, explore the science and math behind sound\, and gain a deeper understanding of music history\, music promotion\, and careers within the music industry. Students will work collaboratively and independently to develop a fully produced original song that incorporates live-recorded audio\, custom samples\, and advanced production techniques. \nAs part of the program\, students will gain real-world industry exposure through a recording session in a studio setting and a visit to OPB (Oregon Public Broadcasting)\, where they will learn about careers in media production\, broadcasting\, audio engineering\, storytelling\, and digital content creation. \nThe program concludes with a Final Listening Session Showcase\, where students will share their completed projects with peers\, family members\, and invited guests while celebrating their creative growth and accomplishments. \nPrerequisite: Students must have previous experience using Ableton Live or have successfully completed iMusic Tier 1: Creative Launchpad.
