Have you ever imagined what the future might look like…would there be flying cars or magic microwaves? Imagine a future where robots or computers could answer almost all of your questions about the world at the touch of a few buttons…I bet that sounds familiar!

Technology today has rapidly advanced in the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI)—like Siri, Google, and ChatGPT. In 2025, we have welcomed a new generation of youth who will grow up with access to AI, known as Generation Beta! From educational to career opportunities, health care to entertainment, AI will be a key resource for Gen Beta throughout their lives. How exactly can the youth today and Gen Beta integrate AI into their future careers? An article from the World Economic Forum highlights that “to do this, young workers will need to acquire or demonstrate AI-relevant skills quickly.”
Many industries, workforces—especially the tech industry—need young employees who know how to effectively use AI. That’s why building upon your talents and skills are so important, and a reason why iUrban Teen strives to provide those opportunities! Like many things, AI has its pros and cons…so what do teens today think about AI? Hey Oregon teens, come out and join iUrban Teens iMAP Climate Data Camp! Get hands-on with cool tech that uses GIS (Geographic Information Systems) mapping to explore your environment. You’ll learn how this tech turns complex data into easy-to-understand maps, helping people make smarter decisions about the planet.

But that’s not all – we’re also diving into AI (Artificial Intelligence) and machine learning! These tools help predict environmental changes, like how water quality might change or where wildfires could happen. AI and machine learning can even spot patterns in the data, making predictions more accurate and helping communities plan better.

At the camp, you’ll see how these tools work together to tackle challenges in your area, using your own ZIP code to discover environmental issues that matter most to you. It’s your chance to understand the tech behind real-world problems and become part of the solution. Don’t miss out – sign up today! https://iMapClimate2025.eventbrite.com
iUrban Teen is committed to strengthening our community by providing valuable resources, education, and support to foster growth, resilience, and well-being. Through events like our Black History Month Health and Wellness session, we aim to create a space where young people can access vital information, connect with experts, and build the tools they need to thrive. During this event, Dr. Gina Guillaume shared insights on the root causes of toxic stress, emphasizing how diet, exercise, environment, and racism can impact our mental and physical health. Georgann Pierce led participants through simple yet effective exercises to relieve stress and promote wellness. The gathering also fostered meaningful discussions about health, well-being, and the importance of supporting each other in navigating challenges like systemic racism. As we continue to serve our community, we remain dedicated to uplifting each other and promoting health, wellness, and positive change.

As we look ahead to 2025, we extend our heartfelt wishes to our friends and families for optimal health, happiness, and prosperity. May the year ahead bring you strength, peace, and the courage to prioritize your well-being every day.
