Cedar River Watershed Tour with Girl Trek

September 7 @ 9:00 am - 2:30 pm

Free

Take a deep breath outside with an educational hike through Cedar River Municipal Watershed. Learn about hydrology and environmental careers.

Partnered with Girl Trek, we’re taking a hike outside in Seattle’s Municipal Watershed to see where our water comes from and explore Washington’s unique ecology. Walk through Masonry Dam, Cedar River Watershed, Chester Morse Lake, and Cedar Falls Waterfall with us on our day expedition. Travel buses are included to transport students and families to each site.

“The Watershed Education Center is a gateway to the Cedar River Municipal Watershed, which provides drinking water for more than a million people in the greater Seattle area. The Center provides education, interpretation, and tours focused on the region’s unique ecology and its connection to the water supply.” Find out more about the Watershed here: https://mtsgreenway.org/location/ cedar-river-watershed-education-center/

Wear appropriate hiking clothing, bring bug spray, water bottle, and allergy medication/inhaler if needed.
