High school environmental education workshop at UW.

Day one, we will meet in the lab at UWB. Introduction to concepts including stream biology, hydrology and salmon lifecycles. Transition into field research at North Creek (located at UWB). Students can practice habitat surveillance and collect samples of macroinvertebrates. Go back to the lab to look at macros and use microscopes. Review salmon lifecycles and ecosystems in the field. We will utilize remote site incubators and drones to help exemplify and visualize these processes. Students will learn about local landslides, coastal erosion, and geomorphology concepts in the classroom, and more!
